We are on our way with the new hosting arrangement!
First we would like to apologise for the issues with our previous website. It was badly hacked and rather than expend efforts fixing it we decided to implement a new website. After a number of issues with the previous hosting supplier we decided to implement with a new hosting supplier. Unfortunately, this took a while but we now have full control of our website which is is being built up page by page.
Log into the members area:
The old log-in details will not work. Use the 'Members area website access' link to ask Paul Morris to set you up (I am not going to create hundreds of entries just in case...). Only those who appear in the members directory will be set up.
Now about the Norfolk Smallholders Training Group...
We were set up in the late 1980's and have members all over Norfolk (plus a few in other counties). Each month we organise training courses requested by our members and over the spring and summer we also have visits to each other's holdings. In addition the Group attends various local shows with members manning the stall. Please see our events calendar to give you an idea of what courses we run.
We also have links with the Suffolk Smallholders and the Norfolk Organic Gardeners and so are able to offer our members the opportunity to attend their events too.
The Group is administered by a committee and there is an annual AGM in October. It is non-profit making, charging just enough to cover costs. In 2004 we applied for charitable status and formally became a charity in November 2004.
Each month we send out a newsletter/magazine that includes reviews and pictures of recent courses and visits. Members can also advertise to sell items including their own produce.
We hope that this has given you a flavour of what the Group does and has whetted your appetite sufficiently to become a member - and with that in mind, please see our online application form.
